Description

Automatic Identification System (AIS) is a marine tracking system used for identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging data with other nearby ships and vessels. The AIS unit uses a standardised VHF transceiver to broadcast the vesselís unique position, course, speed and name which can be displayed on screen in real time. AIS is intended to assist vessels in identifying and allow maritime authorities to track and monitor vessel movements. The frequencies used by AIS to transmit and receive this data are higher than marine VHF frequencies, so using a marine VHF antenna with an AIS unit will compromise the performance of the system, as will the use of a ësplitterí to run VHF and AIS from the one antenna. Using a dedicated AIS antenna ensures the best possible transmission and reception range, and maximizes your safety. BLA Aerialsí new range of AIS antennas are individually tuned and tested to provide optimum performance. A wide range of antenna sizes and mounts provide for any size and type of vessel, from tenders to tankers.

1.8m BLA SeaMaster Pro Series AIS Antenna

A specifically designed AIS Pro Series antenna which can be removed and remounted on the boat at the userís convenience. The cable is hardwired to the BLA SeaMaster Pro Series mount, so the antenna can be removed without pulling or cutting the cable. The BLA SeaMaster Pro Series AIS antenna is an excellent choice for installations on small to medium sized boats. Superbly finished with glossy UltraGlass this robust and reliable antenna provides outstanding performance.

Returns policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
