Victron VE.Bus BMS v2
Description
Victron VE.Bus BMS V2 for Victron Smart Lithium batteries for use with Victron MultiPlus and Quattro inverter chargers.
The VE.Bus BMS V2 is a Battery Management System (BMS) designed to connect and protect one or more 12.8V & 25.6V Lithium Battery Smart batteries (LifePO4 or LFP) in systems with inverters or Victron inverters/chargers with VE.Bus communication.
It monitors and protects the batteries from over and under voltage in each individual cell and also against over and under temperatures.
Depending on the status of the battery(ies), the BMS will:
- Generate a pre-alarm signal to warn of impending cell under voltage.
- Disable inversion in VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus and switch off other loads via the load disconnect terminal in case of cell overvoltage, under-temperature, or overtemperature.
- Disable charging in VE.Bus inverters or inverters/chargers via VE.Bus and disable other chargers via the charge disconnect terminal in case of cell overvoltage, under-temperature, or overtemperature.
The Original"VE.Bus BMS is best used in systems without a GX device.
The "Next Generation"VE.Bus BMS V2 has additional features such as:
- Terminals for remote switching on and off
- Ability to disable VE.Direct and VE.Can solar chargers via a GX device.
- Ability to control the VE.Bus inverte4r/charger from multiple devices such as the Digital Multi Control, the VE.Bus Smart Dongle and/or a GX device.
- Auxiliary input and output terminals that allow a GX device to remain powered in the event of a system shutdown.
